especially if rewiring import guitar: Without your guitar on our bench,
we can't guarantee exact fit of each part. You may need to add extra
washers, enlarge holes in pickguard or control plate for full size pots,

Upgrading
a Fender Blacktop or Classic Player Jazzmaster: Any of the
standard Jazzmaster pickguards listed below should fit the Classic Player.
Black top pickguards are shown toward the bottom of this page. Regarding
the Ping tuners with two mounting pins that come standard
on the Blacktop, there are several easy options to replace them. Fender
locking tuners can be used as a replacement. For a vintage look, standard
kluson tuners will work with the addition of adapter bushings. Tone Pros
kluson #TPKF6BN or locking #TPKF6BNL with screw in bushings are a direct
replacement for the modern style tuners. The pin holes are covered up by
the kluson tuner casing, so they look good, too. Other brands that fit 10mm
peg holes should also work. See our Tuning

Keys -Authentic Kluson® replacement, 6-in-line, nickel,
screws & bushings included. Used by Fender from 1957 to 1964. Double
line, with the "Kluson Deluxe" stamped twice on each tuner casing
was used from 1964-1967. We also carry Fender, Gotoh & other brand
tuners.
If
changing tuners from mini's to kluson style, you will need a set of adapter
bushings. Mini tuners have larger posts, so the holes in the neck are
too big for Klusons.
