If the screwhole in the pickguard doesn't match up exactly with an existing hole in the guitar, the pickguard screw can be put in at an angle. It may be necessary to sand the pickup cutout a little to get exact fit.

The large mounting bracket is flat on the side the screw holes are drilled and includes the center 4th hole for the strap button. There are two hooks for each long and short trapeze on the opposite end of the mounting bracket to securely attach the trapeze sections where string tension holds them securely in place. Installing PB626 brackets for Archtops, some ES330, 335, mandolins, etc. The acrylic block is glued or cemented to the pickguard. You could also use double stick tape. Most of our pickguards come with a small indentation in the back of the pickguard that doesn't go all the way through. This is a reference for where the acrylic block is glued, but it's always a good idea to dry fit installations before making them permanent. To locate where the block goes on the pickguard, attach the bracket to guitar with the block installed on the bracket and mark back of pickguard. Remove the bracket, take off the block, glue block to pickguard, reinstall. Super glue is unforgiving, so if you have reservations about your installation techniques, try something like rubber cement, which can be scraped off if an error is made. This bracket may be too long for some archtops and may need to be modified, but it is the only one of this type we can find. These instructions are a general guide, other methods may apply.
